REGISTERED NURSE – Emergency Department Training Program

Description

The Scripps' Emergency Nursing Training Program is a 12 week program that facilitates the transition of an experienced RN with varied clinical background, to an advanced beginner Emergency Nurse. The program utilizes four teaching modalities: an online educational component developed by The Emergency Nursing Association, lectures by expert speakers who generalize the didactic to the bedside, hands-on skills and simulation learning, as well as clinical orientation with trained preceptors in the Emergency Departments across the system. As a result of this program, nurses are supported as they develop knowledge and skills to care for the challenging and varied population of patients that seek care in the Emergency Department setting.
Selected candidates will be hired into full-time positions in one of the Scripps' ED locations.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:Current California RN license
Minimum Qualifications:One year recent RN experience in an acute (hospital) care setting. BLS for Health Care Provider, ACLS, and PALS from the American Heart Association required by start date.
Preferred Qualifications
: BSN preferred
